Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, it can effect ANYONE.
I'm talking men, women of all ages, whether they have been pregnant and given birth or not.
The effects are far reaching too.
From lower back pain to incontinence, pelvic pressure or pain, discomfort during intercourse, fear of intimacy, IBS, fecal incontinence...even erectile dysfunction and hyperactive bladders can be related to problems with the pelvic floor.
And guess what, kegels are not the answer, although they might have a place in the rehabilitation process, they are simply one exercise to help with one possible pelvic floor-related problem.
You don't have to be afraid of pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse and or diastsis recti, but you do have to be educated.
Information is power, prevention and protection.
