When it comes to "getting healthy", many of us want to do it all. We want a whole health makeover where we change how we eat, exercise, and hopefully how we look, all at once.
But if that's not realistic for our lives right now, we shouldn't wait to make any positive changes until we can change EVERYTHING.
We can take baby steps towards caring for our bodies and cover more ground than if we wait for our lives to accommodate ALL the changes at the same time.
If it's fat loss, more energy, or a stronger and more toned physique that you seek, you can make one small adjustment today that moves you closer to your goals for your life and your body.
Start by modifying 1 meal a week for 3 weeks.
Take 1 meal that's maybe too large, too processed, too carb-centric, or too full of fat, and change it to a lean protein and vegetable-rich meal that nourishes your body, tastes good, and moves you closer to the goals you have for your energy and your physique.
I have four recipes that I will share on my blog later on today.
Take any or all of these and change one meal this week and maybe find a friend or family member to do it with you.
Support networks can be very helpful (sometimes necessary) when trying to make lifestyle changes.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to look and feel good in our bodies.
Our human bodies are a gift from God that we can use to do good.
Feeling good and moving well in them, is a perfectly acceptable priority to have for ourselves and for the people in our lives that rely upon our physical, mental, and emotional strength.
Actively love and nourish your body, and it will begin to look like it's loved!
It will take care of you.
Commit today to making one small change towards a more healthFULL lifestyle.
It doesn't have to be perfect. Just start.
A year from now, you'll wish that you started today.
You can do it!
